Many people here in Berlin might remember the interactive installation of Karsten Höller called “Soma” at Hamburger Bahnhof in November 2010. Now you’ll have the chance again to step inside, touch an artwork and participate in an exhibition. The exhibition “Cloud Cities” by the Argentinian artist Tomás Saraceno is stunning! It’s his first solo exhibition in Germany where about twenty pieces are being exhibited, floating in the wide historic hall of Hamburger Bahnhof….
In this exhibition, Saraceno wants to show us his future concept of living in cities: as floating walk-in living rooms. He presents us an utopia and his own vision of an alternative life among flora and fauna – which is why you can find living plants in some parts of the installation. The implementation is supposed to blast our traditional thinking of architecture, giving a new experimental perspective on living in rooms and spaces. For Saraceno, the idea of space is always boundless and floating, always in transformation and under construction.
As a visitor of the exhibition, you are invited to hang around with two more friends in one of the big balloons. Don’t miss this great chance to feel this very special atmosphere and energy! Hurry up, because
the exhibition has been extended only till Feb. 19th!
