Who doesn’t want to go back to being a child again?! We at Artconnect Berlin certainly do. And especially when it comes to photography, it’s learning by doing. With this in mind, Olympus organised ‘The OM-D: PHOTOGRAPHY PLAYGROUND‘, which kicks off this Thursday 10th of April at Berlin Opernwerkstätten. To get a better picture of exactly what it’s about, we advise you to read on!
This week we have an exhibition from AFF Galerie, which opened last Sunday. In the display, seven young photographers from Sabine Schründer’s portraiture course got together. So for this weekend we’ve chosen some great events for you! We start with an exhibition opening by SomoS Art House, followed by a brilliant workshop from Otto Baum. Then we have a running exhibition in the old DDR ‘Kino International’ . See the other events underneath!
Can you imagine how it would look to have 4,000 glow-in-the-dark posters up? Well, we think it would look pretty awesome! This week we have chosen an exhibition at Galerie ZAK| BRANICKA featuring the work of Polish artist Joanna Rajkowska. Collective memory is a recurring theme in Joanna Rajkowska’s work. This is often central to her art in public spaces, such as Greetings from Jerusalem Avenue (2002, Warsaw) and Benjamin in Konya (2010, Turkey). Rajkowska sometimes uses private stories in her work, which in her interpretation become universal.
